Interface
I use binary code in my artworks as an interface between intuition and logic, the two sides of my brain working simultaneously. It reflects how thought moves between emotion and structure, feeling and system. Binary is also not immediately readable; it withholds clear meaning and resists instant interpretation. This distance invites the viewer to experience the work intuitively rather than decode it, making binary both a language and a barrier.
Binary code: fundamental language of computers, a base-2 system using only two digits, 0 and 1, to represent all data ; these 'bits' (0s and 1s) are grouped into 'bytes' (typically 8 bits) to form characters, numbers, and instructions, enabling digital information storage and processing. A: 01000001 b: 01100010 etc.
