ABOUT

I investigates the porous intersections of language, gesture, and performativity. I approach each piece as a palimpsest, layered, marked, and continually transformed, echoing how identity is formed and reformed over time. Language is never static, it breathes, shifts, resists.

I balance composing and opposing,  with the use of scale, repetition, and rhythm, the meditative precision of ink and nib coexisting with the energy of calligraphy and paint. Gesture and materiality guide me, revealing emotions and memories that lie beneath the surface.

My visual language draws from the instinctive mark-making, while feminist theorists such as Laura Mulvey inform a critical awareness of perception and power.

Poetry remains a constant companion with voices like Angelou, Mandelstam, Brodsky or Rilke influencing rhythm and tone. And literature, always,

Ultimately, my work explores the delicate balance between revealing and withholding my identity and my memory.

practice investigates the porous boundaries between language, gesture, and performativity.
